| EZ Knot™ How - To - Tie Two Fishing Lines Together |
![]() |
|
This knot needs to be very small in diameter so it can go through rod eyes and wound into reels without snagging. The EZ Knot™ Line-to-Line knot small, simple and fast to tie, and very strong. Step 1. Make four wraps around the tool with line #1, and then pass the end of the line under the wraps. Step 2. Holding the knot on the tool with your index finger, slide the end of the line #2 under the wraps on the other side of the tool. Step 3. Slide the knot off the tool and snug it down around the second line. Step 4. Tie the same knot with the second line around the first line, pull it down tight, and then slide the two knots together. Step 5. Cut the tag ends right up against the knot. Due to the small knot size, this fly anglers use this method for tying leader-to-tippet. Also use if to attach shock leaders and for putting backing on a fishing reel.
