If you fish with a float, and you don’t use a slip float, you are really limiting your possible success. Always use a slip float, for float fishing. Being able to cast long distances, and fish in deep water with a float, is a real advantage. Nearly all floats sold today can be fished as a slip float. Most people do not use this option simply because they have no pre-tied slip float knots or rubber stoppers. These come packaged in many tackle shops and are usually priced about five for a dollar. They cannot be reused, and they must be put on the line before you tie on your hooks or weights. The EZ Knot™ float stop can be applied at any time, plus they are free. You can change easily change the length of line between float and hook. This knot will slide to any place on your line, but only when you want it to.
After you snug down the dropline knot, cut your knot tag ends a little long so they can catch your float. The EZ knot is worth the price, if you only use it for this one knot. | |
